Pests

Squash the cockroaches flat as pancakes,
Spray the mosquitoes with insect gun,
Kill all the ants with poison powder,
Swap those buzzing flies down one by one.

Annihilate these pesky buggers,
For they are all health threatening pests,
So spray them, powder them, stamp on them,
Clear them, clean them from their hidden nests.

But for Buddhist thoughts and kindly folks,
These acts are against good natured laws,
'cause flying, crawling, creeping creatures,
Are not responsible for their flaws.

So we should be kind to one and all,
But then it's easier said than done,
Because when we spray or kill those pests,
We're never doing it just for fun.
