Christmas Lights

The string of coloured lights, bright and long,
Their coloured leds programmed, flash and flow,
Starlights red, white, yellow, blue and green,
Tinsels timely twinkling, fast and slow.

The lights strung around the balcony,
Over the railing and up the wall,
The string strongly stuck with sticky tape,
in different places so
wouldn't fall.

Steady flashings coax a charming spell,
And seen with more than a given glance,
Their charismatic charm capable
To soothe souls in simulated trance.

My love for lighted colours never ends,
Coloured lights have always been my friends.
