My Shadow

He will come to visit me,
Every time the light is on,
With sunlight, daylight, moonlight,
He is instantly reborn.

Everywhere I try to go,
Every single step I take,
He follows me faithfully,
Copies every move I make.

He is so scared of the dark,
Whenever there is no light,
Will go straight into hiding,
On each starless, moonless night.

But when any light comes on,
I will never be alone,
He will be here instantly,
My shadow is all my own.
